Ashley is really fun to work with - she is very knowledgeable and has great ideas for how to make the most of a space. She is very responsive and always has good suggestions for how to problem solve. Best place to get veggie starts as well. Highly recommend!

Working with Ashley this past summer was nothing short of magical! She helped turn my small hardscaped yard into a beautiful oasis of herbs, veggies and edible flowers using only containers! She observed my yard's limitations and was able to make tangible and easily to implement suggestions to have beautiful (and edible) plants growing in just a few weeks. I learned so much from her and was able to troubleshoot what was going wrong before it was too late. She has so much fun gardening and truly brings joy to it and allowed me to have zero experience with growing veggies and still succeed! It was a sad day when I had to put my garden to bed and I'm already planning for next summer.

I am new to Oregon and gardening in the high desert climate, Ashley and team helped me plan a vegetable raised bed garden that looks attractive and will last for many years. She also suggested a raised raspberry trellis as Oregon likes raspberries and so do we! Top quality and expertise. Highly recommend.

I’m really new to gardening but had done enough reading and researching to totally confuse myself. We called Bend Urban Gardens and started from ground zero—Ashley helped us plan our site, we built kit beds from B.U.G., she set up our irrigation and taught me how to make changes, simple fixes, and additions with confidence. The knowledge and binder of information I received from my crop planning sessions with Ashley and subsequent on-site lessons with her were super helpful. But it wasn’t until this year—my first attempt to crop plan and garden on my own—that I realized how invaluable Bend Urban Garden’s services were to me. From start to finish, I think Ashley shaved YEARS off the learning curve and got me gardening so much faster than I would have been able to do on my own. I know high desert gardening is notoriously tricky but my garden did so well this year and we grew SO much food! And I love that I have Ashley as a resource down the road if we decide to expand our garden areas or run into any problems. It was probably one of the best investments we’ve made for our home and family to date. Highly recommend.

Ashley helped us build 6 big beautiful juniper beds and two mobile cloches, and provided us a an exceptionally detailed crop plan (including when to plant successions through out the season) that is personalized to our tastes! We're looking forward to our garden lessons this season! Really cannot say enough about how knowledgeable Ashley is about vegetable gardening, her crop plans are pure gold, she puts SO much consideration into what plants are grouped together based on their needs, and where they are placed in the bed so they don't shade or overcrowd each other. She helped us figure out the best place for the beds to maximize sunshine throughout the day, and laid out a step by step plan that allowed us room to participate in the process. She sourced very high quality materials, build very sturdy and beautiful beds and educated us every step of the way.
